high school artwork

Instead of just making this a blog for my drawing class, I decided to use it to put up all my artwork.  Since I definitely don't want to pay for my own website, this will have to  suffice.  So this is all the artwork I've done (that I like) in high school...

ceramics

charcoal

oil pastel

woodcut prints

ink

pencil/colored pencil

linoleum print

study of folds

triptych of waist

dave, mark

Okay, so after our last critique in class, I decided to make a few changes to my drawing project.  So I updated Lauren and Cara's portraits, and did two more...Dave and Mark.  I'm really enjoying this project.  Next week is spring break, so hopefully I can get a lot of them done back home.  Here are the updates...

first portrait

What a crazy weekend.
Friday was my birthday so that was pretty chaotic.
I did the first drawing of my self-guided project of my roommate Shannon. (below)
My project is going to be a set of portraits of my friends.
The portraits are more centered around the person, so I am going to incorporate little things that remind me of that person.  I am going to use markers with different techniques and on different kinds of paper.  I am going to do at least one portrait a week which I will work on for an average of 6 hours each.
Here's the first of the series...
